Search Index Manager FAQ
Does Search Index Manager guarantee indexing or rankings?
No. The app can send supported notifications, organise URLs and show useful indexing signals, but search engines independently decide whether and when to crawl, index or rank a page.
Which search engines support IndexNow?
IndexNow is supported by participating search engines such as Bing and Yandex. Support and processing behaviour can change, and an accepted notification does not guarantee indexing.
What does a high priority score mean?
It indicates that a product URL has continued to require attention after previous checks or notifications. Review the page for issues such as crawl restrictions, canonicalisation, thin or duplicated content and internal-linking gaps.
Why does Search Console show a permission error?
Confirm that the connected Google account has sufficient access to the correct Search Console property. Update the property permissions if necessary, reconnect the account and run the sync again.
Does the app add storefront JavaScript or change my theme?
The indexing and monitoring workflow runs through Shopify and external service APIs rather than a customer-facing search widget. Review the app permissions and your theme after installation as you would with any Shopify app.

What happens if I uninstall the app?
Scheduled monitoring, queue processing and new notifications stop after uninstalling. Search engines retain control of their indexes and may recrawl, retain or remove URLs independently over time.
