Before you begin

Choose a small group of products first

Begin with a few representative products rather than changing your whole catalogue immediately. This makes it easier to understand the scoring, compare suggestions and confirm that generated content matches your brand.

Recommended starting point

Choose products with incomplete descriptions, unclear titles or limited tags. Review every proposed change before publishing it.

Step one

Install the app

  1. Open AI Visibility Optimizer in the Shopify App Store.
  2. Select Install and choose the Shopify store you want to connect.
  3. Review the requested permissions and approve the installation.
  4. Open the app from your Shopify admin and allow the initial catalogue sync to complete.

Step two

Analyse your first products

Product analysis checks the information already stored in Shopify and identifies opportunities to make it clearer and more complete.

  1. Open the product analysis area in the app.
  2. Select one product or a small group of products.
  3. Start the analysis and allow it to finish.
  4. Open a completed product to review its score and recommendations.
Free-plan allowances

The current free plan includes 10 product analyses and five AI fixes each month. Check the Shopify App Store for the latest plan details.

Step three

Understand the readiness results

The AI Readiness Score provides a quick overview of how complete and understandable a product appears. Use the detailed findings to decide what should be improved.

Titles

Clarity, useful detail and product context.

Descriptions

Completeness, structure, features and benefits.

Tags

Relevant terms that support classification and discovery.

Catalogue data

Categorisation, images, variants and other product information.

A lower score is not a search-ranking penalty. Treat it as a prioritisation tool that helps identify incomplete or unclear product information.

Step four

Review suggested improvements

  1. Open a recommendation for a title, description or tag improvement.
  2. Compare the suggested version with the current Shopify content.
  3. Edit the suggestion if it does not accurately reflect the product or your brand.
  4. Publish only the changes you have checked and approved.
  5. Use the activity or change history when you need to review previous updates.
Keep product claims accurate

AI-generated content can be useful, but it still requires human review. Confirm specifications, materials, compatibility, safety information and regulatory claims before publishing.

Step five

Set a consistent writing style

Choose the available writing style that most closely matches your brand before generating content in bulk.

  1. Open the app settings or content configuration area.
  2. Select the writing style appropriate for your store.
  3. Generate a test description for one product.
  4. Review its terminology, spelling and tone before processing more products.

For a UK-facing store, check that generated wording uses your preferred UK spelling and product terminology.

Step six

Create structured product feeds

AI Visibility Optimizer can generate structured catalogue feeds for different systems and integrations.

JSON
Structured product data

A machine-readable format for custom tools and integrations.

XML
Shopping feeds

Product-feed formats intended for Google and Bing shopping workflows.

TXT
llms.txt

A text-based catalogue resource designed to present structured information to compatible AI systems.

  1. Open the feed-management area.
  2. Select the feed format you need.
  3. Review the included products and available configuration.
  4. Generate the feed and copy its URL only to the service that requires it.

Common questions

AI Visibility Optimizer FAQ

What is an AI Readiness Score?

It is a score from 0 to 100 that summarises how prepared a product is for AI-powered search and shopping. It considers product content and catalogue information such as titles, descriptions, tags, categorisation, images and variants.

Can I review generated content before publishing it?

Yes. Review AI-generated improvements before publishing them to Shopify. You can edit a suggestion or leave the existing content unchanged.

Does the app slow down my storefront?

Product analysis and content generation run outside the storefront. The app does not add a customer-facing widget that must load on every shop page.

Which structured feed formats can it create?

The app can generate JSON, Google and Bing shopping XML, and llms.txt product feeds.

Can I use AI Visibility Optimizer for free?

Yes. A free Starter plan is available. Paid plans provide higher analysis allowances and additional capacity. Check the Shopify App Store listing for current details.
